More of an update

So...I gave a little update last time. I will add a little to it now! We purchase a new car on Friday last week! After my accident last month, the insurance company totalled the car. We bought a 2007 Hyundai Sante Fe Limited. We did get the top of the line, figuring that this is going to be the family car for the next many years!

Grace is really enjoying school! She knows everyone in her class. Bryce is now climbing on things...he's been watching his sister just a little too much! Grace is doing a little better on her potty training.

Still don't have the Vacation pictures off the camera yet...hopefully I will get to that tonight! Did another 1.5 miles on the treadmill. That's twice this week! WOOHOO!! Hope all are having a great fall...we had 90 degree temps yesterday!

See anything new...

Okay...so you may have noticed my ticker at the top of my page. Well I have signed on with IVillage to do there "Walking Challenge". It challenges you to walk everyday. Well, my mom and I have decided that it is time to crack down on this weight loss thing. It's been a tough year so far and a lot of stress eating has been going on! I was supposed to start walking yesterday, with household chores and children not wanting to get back on the normal schedule from vacation...I started today. I was interrupted right as I was getting to my top pace...had to take a break and take my daughter back upstairs to her bed. Thankfully she stayed! So tonight I walked 1.5 miles on the treadmill. I did treat myself to some ice cream...I know...I know...I am defeating the purpose. I am actually proud of myself because I ate a 1/4 of what I would normally eat!!! That is what I need to start focusing on is my portion control! Well, I must call it a night...I have a load of laundry to throw in and the bed is calling my name! See ya!

Long time...no speak

Wow...it has been awhile! Amazing how time flies. Well Grace is doing much better. Blood count is where it should be. She goes back to the doctor again tomorrow. She has been off the medication for a week now. She is starting to get her girlish figure back! :o) We have been very busy. In the middle of September, I went away with a bunch of wonderful ladies on NCA Emmaus 138! I didn't mention too much before because I know my family may read this and my grandmother was going to be a pilgrim on the weekend...the fun part...she didn't know that I was going to be right there with her! It was a wonderful weekend! Went back to work for a week and then left for vacation. We spent a week in VA Beach! A great time was had by all. Got some christmas shopping done...now let's see if I can finish! I don't have the christmas pictures downloaded yet, but will post some other recent ones! Grace also started school at the beginning of September. It was very exciting.

Thankful Thursday...

Well what a week it has been. A mundane Monday turned into Topsy Turvy Tuesday. From my previous post you saw that they were going to run some blood tests on baby girl...well...Tuesday morning we received a call from the doctor stating that she need to be admitted to the Hospital immediately. It turns out that her white blood count was low and her blood platelets were extremely low (most kids are between 140,000 and 400,000 and she was at 3,000). They wanted to have her tested for Leukemia! Well that gave me to heeby jeebies! All I could do was pray and lift her up to God and say "Lord, she is your child. I know you will not give us more than we can handle." At that point, I had such a peace in my heart. My head was going a bazzilion miles and minute. The oncologist checked her physically and determined that there was no need for an immediate bone marrow biopsy (no swollen lymph nodes). She said "let's look at her blood work in the morning and we'll go from there." By Wednesday morning her platelets were up to 4,000, the biopsy would need to be done. It was only a 15 minute procedure, but probably the longest 15 minutes of my life! After the biopsy we knew that we would have an answer to the leukemia question within the hour. Well I don't think it took more than half an hour and the Dr. came back with the glorious news...it's a virus...no Leukemia!!! Praise God!!!! She is now on a regiment of steroids and pepcid ac. The steroids could cause mood swings...that's nothing new! Today is our first day home since Monday. I am soooooo looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight! God is good all the time!

Is it Friday yet?

Not an overly interesting day. Baby girl went to the doctor this afternoon. He determined that she has Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. He sent her for some blood work as well. We are waiting to get the results back from that. We hope to know more before we go to bed. If we don't, he will call us in the morning. We know that God is in control and will not give us more than we can handle! If you are reading this, please say a special prayer for my baby girl.

Sunday...Sunday...Sunday

So today was kind of a low key day. My baby girl was not feeling well. I attend a different church today because my dad's praise band "Forgiven By Grace" was leading their worship this morning. It was a wonderful service and FBG did a fantastic job as usual. The Nascar race at Michigan was rain delayed until tomorrow at noon! Just means I can't watch Tony win, I will have to listen on the internet! Hubby had to work this evening to do inventory, so I spent a quiet evening with moo moo watching some football (a flag filled game between the Giants & Ravens). Well I am off to fold laundry and eventually hit the hay! May tomorrow be filled with blessings!
