Well what a week it has been. A mundane Monday turned into Topsy Turvy Tuesday. From my previous post you saw that they were going to run some blood tests on baby girl...well...Tuesday morning we received a call from the doctor stating that she need to be admitted to the Hospital immediately. It turns out that her white blood count was low and her blood platelets were extremely low (most kids are between 140,000 and 400,000 and she was at 3,000). They wanted to have her tested for Leukemia! Well that gave me to heeby jeebies! All I could do was pray and lift her up to God and say "Lord, she is your child. I know you will not give us more than we can handle." At that point, I had such a peace in my heart. My head was going a bazzilion miles and minute. The oncologist checked her physically and determined that there was no need for an immediate bone marrow biopsy (no swollen lymph nodes). She said "let's look at her blood work in the morning and we'll go from there." By Wednesday morning her platelets were up to 4,000, the biopsy would need to be done. It was only a 15 minute procedure, but probably the longest 15 minutes of my life! After the biopsy we knew that we would have an answer to the leukemia question within the hour. Well I don't think it took more than half an hour and the Dr. came back with the glorious news...it's a virus...no Leukemia!!! Praise God!!!! She is now on a regiment of steroids and pepcid ac. The steroids could cause mood swings...that's nothing new! Today is our first day home since Monday. I am soooooo looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight! God is good all the time!

Is it Friday yet?
Not an overly interesting day. Baby girl went to the doctor this afternoon. He determined that she has Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. He sent her for some blood work as well. We are waiting to get the results back from that. We hope to know more before we go to bed. If we don't, he will call us in the morning. We know that God is in control and will not give us more than we can handle! If you are reading this, please say a special prayer for my baby girl.

Sunday...Sunday...Sunday
So today was kind of a low key day. My baby girl was not feeling well. I attend a different church today because my dad's praise band "Forgiven By Grace" was leading their worship this morning. It was a wonderful service and FBG did a fantastic job as usual. The Nascar race at Michigan was rain delayed until tomorrow at noon! Just means I can't watch Tony win, I will have to listen on the internet! Hubby had to work this evening to do inventory, so I spent a quiet evening with moo moo watching some football (a flag filled game between the Giants & Ravens). Well I am off to fold laundry and eventually hit the hay! May tomorrow be filled with blessings!
Saturday
So, I've been slacking already! Didn't have the opportunity to write last night. After work, I came home and took a nap...that's unusual, but needed. After the nap we left for NCA Emmaus Ultreya. Mom and Dad took the kids for the night, so we decided to take a short date night. We went and had a nice dinner. Was up early this morning for a meeting and then headed into work for a few hours. Had a dinner at church to discuss the new building and what is going on with the capital campaign. It was so nice to hear testimonies from different people in the church. After that it was back home to watch the Redskins! They didn't win tonight, but played better than last week. One more week of pre-season and then it is on! I pray that everyone is having an enjoyable weekend!

Some "me" time...and new opportunities
So you get 2 posts in one day! This probably won't happen often. God provide me with some "me" time tonight. I was supposed to be doing some emmaus stuff tonight and ended up at the last minute that we were not able to do that. I took this time to do some emmaus shopping. I also received a call from my pastor that I was nominated (even though I initially volunteered) to serve in a position within the church. I will be responsible to publicizing spiritual stuff like Emmaus and Chrysalis weekends as well as other retreats within the church. It should be fun. Of course I will post another picture of my pumkin and bubba. Of course looking at this picture and that last...you probably think my children don't ever get dressed! I promise they do, but we like to have pj days too. On a happy note, I have a friend, we'll call her moo moo...she is looking at some exciting changes in her life. Please pray for her.
Welcome to my world
